Conversations in Color: Support for Marymount BIPOC Faculty and Staff

Tuesday 01:00 PM - 02:30 PM
Overview:

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Office of the Dean of Students, Equity, and Inclusion are offering a number of Real Talk/Real Change sessions this summer and fall via Zoom for faculty, staff, and students.

As part of this series, we would like to offer a session about the challenges of academia for faculty and staff of color in the Marymount community. The purpose of this session is to get to know one another, assist each other, and determine ways to better support students, staff, and faculty of color at Marymount.

It will be a relaxed atmosphere with encouragement and engagement across the community. It will not be recorded, and there is no reading required prior to attending.

Dr. Sara Hallisey (Indian-American she/her) and Dr. Michelle Zaleski (Chicana she/her) from the Literature and Languages Department will facilitate the session, which will take place on July 14, 2020 from 1:00-2:30pm EDT.

Please click on this link to register for the session and receive the Zoom link.

Contact us at ubelong@marymount.edu with any questions or feedback.
This event is scheduled solely for faculty and staff of color at Marymount. Note that we are scheduling other sessions during the Real Talk/Real Change Series that include students and that include all faculty and staff.
